Mining

In Survival or Hardcore mode in Minecraft, mining usually is an important part of the game. Ores and valuable blocks can be easily traded with villagers for important things like food, tools, or enchanted objects. Mining can be done with a pickaxe or explosives. Mining has its dangers, however, because players can be trapped, attacked by mobs, or starve. If ores are found successfully, the player will be better off trading and surviving.
